Striking yet understated, The Atlas Building reflects the style and spirit of its surroundings and takes in the best parts of the City and East London.
The Development
Situated in a part of London with a distinctive and strong personality, the design for The Atlas Building preserves elements of the location’s original integrity and reflects the culture, energy and entrepreneurship of its surroundings.
Designed by MAKE, the award-winning architects, the development is set in the heart of east London’s Silicon Roundabout district and comprises two buildings: a slim, aluminium clad residential tower with a distinctive staggered construction which draws the eye skywards, and an adjacent black cube-shaped commercial unit, home to co-working company WeWork.
The balconies and terraces maximise the building’s unbelievable views across the City, which take in some of London’s most beloved landmarks, including the Shard and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Between the two buildings, there’s a generous public piazza with a mix of shops, cafés and outdoor seating where people can work or relax.
The 40-storey tower has 302 studios, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments as well as luxurious penthouses. The interiors of each space have been specially designed by global architectural and design firm Woods Bagot to mimic the exterior’s blend of grandeur and simplicity and provide the best in luxury urban living.
